The usual timeline is three to six weeks. What stretches it is not the code, it is the content: photos, copy and access credentials. I send you the list of what is needed on day one so it does not catch you halfway.

Can I edit the site myself afterwards?
Yes. If you need to change copy or publish posts, it is built with a content manager and I show you how to use it. If you would rather not touch anything, you ask me for the changes and that is that.
Do you work with WordPress?
I can, if your case calls for it. By default I build with lighter, faster technologies (React, Next.js), because they perform better and need less security maintenance. I explain the difference before deciding, not after.
What happens to my current site and its rankings?
They are preserved. Old addresses are mapped to the new ones with permanent redirects, so neither Google nor anyone with a saved link lands on a page that no longer exists.
