Accessibility statement

1. Commitment and scope

Atalai wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, whatever their abilities, their device or the assistive technology they use.

This statement applies to every page published on the domain https://atalai.net, in its three language versions (Catalan, Spanish and English).

It is published voluntarily: this site does not belong to the public sector and is therefore not bound by Spanish Royal Decree 1112/2018, whose statement template is followed here as good practice.

2. Conformance status

This website is partially conformant with the UNE-EN 301 549:2019 + A1:2021 standard, which incorporates the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

«Partially conformant» means that most requirements are met, but that isolated exceptions exist or may exist; they are described in the next section.

3. Non-accessible content

The following limitations are known today:

• Third-party anti-spam check: the Google reCAPTCHA widget protecting the contact form is an external component whose accessibility depends on Google. It includes an audio alternative, but its behaviour cannot be fixed from this site. If it is a barrier for you, you can write directly to contacta@atalai.net without using the form.
• Decorative visual effects: the site includes subtle entrance animations and moving backgrounds. They are switched off automatically if the operating system has the reduced-motion preference enabled, but there is not yet an in-page control to turn them off.
• No external audit or systematic testing with users of assistive technology has been carried out, so undetected barriers may exist.
• This site publishes no PDF or office documents, and no video or audio, so there is no multimedia content awaiting captions or descriptions.

4. Measures applied

Accessibility measures built into the design and development include:

• Semantic markup: hierarchical headings, page regions (header, navigation, main content and footer) and lists and forms using their native structure.
• A «Skip to content» link at the start of each page, visible on tabbing, to bypass the navigation.
• Full keyboard navigation, with a visible focus indicator on links, buttons and fields, and focus kept inside the cookie notice while it is open.
• Sufficient colour contrast between text and background, meeting WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.4.3 at level AA.
• Respect for the system's reduced-motion preference (prefers-reduced-motion): animations are disabled when it is on.
• Alternative text on images carrying information, and decorative elements correctly hidden from screen readers.
• Labels tied to every form field, clear marking of required fields, and status and error messages announced to assistive technology.
• The language declared on every page, and a switcher for moving between the three language versions.
• Responsive design that works with enlarged text and on small screens, with no loss of content and no horizontal scrolling.

5. Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared in September 2026.

The method used was a self-assessment carried out by the site's owner, through manual review of the code and of keyboard navigation, supported by automated accessibility analysis tools in the browser.

The statement is reviewed at least once a year and whenever significant changes are published on the site.

6. Compatibility and test environment

The site is designed to work with current versions of the most common browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge), on desktop and mobile devices, and with the assistive technologies they include, such as the system screen readers.

Correct operation is not guaranteed on browsers that no longer receive security updates.

7. Feedback, suggestions and contact

If you come across any accessibility barrier, if you need content in an alternative format or if you have a suggestion, write to contacta@atalai.net with «Accessibility» in the subject line.

So that I can help as quickly as possible, tell me the address of the page, what you were trying to do and which browser or assistive technology you were using.

Feedback is acknowledged and answered within a maximum of twenty working days. If the fix takes longer, you will be told the expected timescale.

8. If the response does not satisfy you

If you feel the response was not adequate, you can come back through the same channel setting out why: the commitment is to review every case and fix whatever is within the owner's reach.

Accessibility is treated here as continuous work rather than a state already reached: every change to the site is reviewed against these same criteria.
